Amy Simon (*1957 in New York City) uses various techniques: she draws and photographs, and more recently she has also created large-format wallpaper works. The photographs presented in this volume were created rather intuitively. Amy Simon entered a particular apartment early in the morning on a hot day and sensed that these spaces contained more for her and about her than just the architecture of the rooms. She captured the interiors in pictures, sometimes also the view from the inside looking out. The rooms became a world of their own, detached from space and time.
